The US, CW, and French (including
the Free French) may not DOW any neutral minor country on the
AiF map (or US mini-map) unless there is an Axis (non-Vichy)
land unit in a land hex on that map or unless the Axis has DOW'd
or aligned any nation on that map which does not have ownership
of any hex outside of that map.
Rationale: Once the US is in the
war there is nothing to prevent the US from DOW-ing most of the
nations in South America, which generally have only reserve units
to set up. They can grab an amazing amount of resources and oil
for free. This is completely ahistorical and is pretty much a
rules-rape.
We now use Lif Lite, an alternative
system for LIF designed by Devin Cutler.
All Russian leaders have an entry date 1 year earlier than the
date printed on their counters.
Rationale: Most of the Russian leaders
have defensive abilities, and by the time they are drawn it is
too late to be of any use!
This is not a complete list of rules used...it just highlights
the more unusual ones.

when attacking across rivers or canals if the unit providing
the bonus has its attack factors halved
- Chinese Friction
- German National SS units
- Japanese Command Conflict
- Bounce Combat (however, we rule that bounce combat occurs
simultaneous with normal air combat, meaning if a bounce combat
results from the first air-to-air die roll in an air combat round,
then even if a FTR is shot down or some other circumstance changes
because of the bounce, the second roll of normal air-to-air combat
occurs as if the bounce combat had not yet occured. The only
exception to this is that bombers cleared through are out of
the remainder of the air-to-air procedure).

with historical fact.
