It is a certain fact that no matter how good a GM might be, without good players who take an interest and get involved deeply into a campaign world, a campaign will come to naught. I was fortunate to have a very dedicated group of players who, despite sometimes having to roll up a new character every session (RQ is a very deadly game and I was running a very heroic and combat-oriented campaign), stuck with the campaign for many years and managed to develop some quite memorable characters.
What I do not have are a bunch of stale character sheets. What I do have are character backgrounds and character journals written by the players themselves. I am sure GMs running other campaigns can find nice items here to use as NPC backgrounds or as examples of character backgrounds for new players. Where I can recall what player wrote a given piece I have tried to credit him or her. Unfortunately, time has dulled my mind a bit and for some items I cannot properly recall who wrote them, so for those oversights, I beg the authors' forebearance.
Player Character Backgrounds (these are the pre-adventuring backgrounds submitted to me by the players for their characters):
Player Character Journals (these are journals and diaries written in the first person perspective of the characters [and edited by me to delete game rule references]):
Player Character Documents (these are miscellaneous documents such as adventuring contracts, letters, et al):
