Notes: This is an RQ2 character and has not been updated for RQ3. Sunray was the focus of the Word Campaign. He was originally a PC who was instrumental in rescuing Arkat from his imprisonment in the Castle of Vivamort by Engala. In gratitude, and thinking Sunray perhaps worthy of Arachne Solara's test, he was given the Word by Arkat. At first, Sunray bore the world stolidly, seeking to divine its true nature. However, the strain of bearing the enigma began to take its toll on Sunray, and as he moved closer to Illumination, he also became less predictable and more erratic in his behaviour. Eventually, upon illumination, Sunray met Kiri Windstorm and handed the Word to Kiri, relieving himself of what he had long regarded as a curse from Arkat and not a blessing. Sunray then went into a semi-reclusive existence until he was captured by Voskal and used as bait to lure the party into Dorastor.

Sunary was also the inadvertant founder of the White Moon religion, as he saw a white moon during his forway onto the Hero Plane in Vivamort's Castle and word of this sight spread and was reinterpreted by certain elements in Peloria as a sign that the Red Moon would fall and the moon of Peace, the White Moon, would arise. The cult was typified by fanatic non-violence and an extensive martyr complex. Sunray, to his credit, had nothing good to say about his erstwhile worshippers and refused to play aling with their claims of his godhead.
